With over 1.5 lakh fatalities recorded annually by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, it equates to one life lost every three and a half minutes. To effectively combat this epidemic, we must dissect the root causes. While infrastructural deficits like potholes and poorly designed junctions contribute significantly, the vast majority of collisions are fundamentally behavioral.
Road Guardians Foundation India approaches these causes from two angles: aggressive public awareness to modify driver behavior, and constant advocacy with state governments to fix infrastructural black-spots.
